Taking a Concept to a Connected Business Community


Overview

When the CPCA Growth Hub was first introduced, it was just a concept — an ambition to create a central hub that would connect businesses and entrepreneurs to the resources, expertise, and opportunities needed to grow.

Over three years, I transformed that vision into a thriving community of over 3,000 businesses and entrepreneurs across the region. Through strategic branding, marketing, and optimisation, the Growth Hub became a trusted name for business support, industry connection, and innovation-led growth.


The Challenge

The Growth Hub had a bold mission but lacked structure, presence, and cohesion across the region.

They needed:

  • A clear and recognisable brand identity

  • A user-friendly, optimised website with strong SEO

  • Consistent, high-quality content across all channels

  • Tools to connect economic development officers (EDOs), district councils, and businesses

  • A streamlined way to share funding opportunities

  • Strong representation at key regional events

The goal was to build trust, engagement, and awareness across multiple touchpoints — and make the Growth Hub the go-to platform for business support in the region.


Our Approach

We acted as the external Marketing Director for the CPCA Growth Hub, delivering a fully integrated marketing, branding, and optimisation strategy while also representing the brand at events.

  • Created a cohesive, impactful brand identity with a personal touch

  • Refined and redesigned the Growth Hub’s website for better UX

  • Improved SEO for greater visibility in search

  • Increased brand awareness through clear navigation and calls-to-action

  • Designed and launched an interactive funding map, allowing users to find funding in their local district quickly and easily


🔹 Regional Cohesion & Communication

  • Introduced a shared content calendar connecting EDOs and district councils

  • Enabled the sharing of crucial events and opportunities across the region

  • Streamlined cross-promotion of regional events and campaigns beneficial to the Growth Hub community


🔹 Content Creation & Marketing Assets
Delivered a consistent stream of high-value content and branded assets, including:

  • Bi-weekly Business Bulletin email

  • Social media content and management

  • Blogs, case studies, and event coverage

  • Promotional videos, interviews, and webinars

  • Event collateral: leaflets, banners, goody bags, mugs, pens, and more

  • Represented the Growth Hub at regional business events
